New Salon – Full Team Being Hired!

SkinCatering Spa is seeking professional, talented hair stylists to work in its new and creative salon that is opening in downtown Springfield in early Spring of 2020!

This isn’t a 9 to 5 salon and it may be more than a Tuesday to Saturday salon. We’ll be honest – because the salon is currently under construction there are still several unknowns, so we understand this job won’t be the right fit for just anyone right now. We have the plan & vision for our gorgeous build-out, now we need the boldest salon team with an adventurous spirit to go on this journey together to bring it home!

With all that courage, we need a team with a strong understanding of self-accountability. We are looking for creative stylists who are polished, professional and passionate about retaining the clientele we grow together. We want our new staff to excel at providing a great client experience and be brave enough to establish a strong client connection.

A Little About Us

SkinCatering is an all-natural skincare brand that has been in business for almost 10 years. For six years we’ve had a premier day spa located inside Tower Square, in Springfield Massachusetts and a second spa location in Holyoke for three years inside D. Hotel Suites & Spa. This year we are expanding to include a boutique salon that will be catering to clients working in and around the 4 largest corporate buildings downtown (WellFleet, Monarch Place, MassLive Building, and TDBank), as well as the esteemed members of the new YMCA in our building, and the beautiful guests of The Sheraton and Tower Square (Marriott) Hotels.

About Our Chosen Hair Line

The SkinCatering mission is to cater to the well-being of our clients, naturally. Finding a professional hair care line to complement our brand is important to us and we found that alignment with a Seattle-based company called SEVEN®.

SEVEN® products make touchable, luxurious, and naturally three-dimensional hair. They are professional products with high-performance formulations that work for stylists, but also make it easy for clients to create healthy, elegant, lightweight looks at home. And of course, they are cruelty free, paraben free, and don’t contain harsh sulfates.

We are the first salon in New England to carry this “hair care created by hair stylists” brand and we couldn’t be more excited! We know our new team of stylists will be too.

Our Stylists will have:

  • Current MA State Cosmetology License
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Advance training preferred
  • Positive attitude and a strong understanding of self-accountability
  • Must be polished, professional and self-confident
  • Passionate about hair, the industry, retaining clientele, and creativity
  • Attention to artistic detail at an efficient work flow pace
  • Excel at providing a great client experience as well as establishing a strong client connection

  • Please do not call or show up unannounced expecting an audience with management. We are catering to our clients, so an appointment for an interview is required.
  • Sharing your instagram page with your body of work is definitely appreciated but not required. We will enjoy getting to know you better during the interview process.

Interview & Hiring Process

There is no opening date yet as construction is not complete but we are hopeful that we will have our team selections in place by the end of February so during the month of March we can be doing product knowledge training and those kind of “house” logistics so when it comes time to open our doors, our team shines their brightest!
